The 4th "Guoyuan · Tang Jinhua Cup" Mixed Team Badminton Invitational Tournament Grandly Held at the College

On August 23, the 4th Guoyuan · Tang Jinhua Cup Mixed Team Badminton Invitational Tournament in 2025, jointly sponsored by Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (the College), Nanjing Qixia District Cultural Tourism Bureau and All-Nanjing Qixia Sports Federation, and organized by Qixia District Badminton Association and NJCIT Tang Jinhua Badminton Studio, was grandly opened in the gymnasium of the College. Tian Min, president of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, Ji Fangxin, vice president of Jiangsu Provincial Badminton Association and director of Jiangsu Provincial Table Tennis and Badminton Management Center, Lv Jun, deputy director of the Publicity Department of Qixia District Committee and director of the District Culture and Tourism Bureau (Sports Bureau), Chen Mo, secretary of the General Party Branch of Basic Education of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, Wang Qiang, fourth-level researcher of Qixia District Culture and Tourism Bureau, Wang Bin, deputy director of the Sports Department of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, Shen Xiaobing, general manager of Qixia Office in Nanjing Region of Jiangsu King's Luck Brewery Joint-Stock Co., Ltd., Cai Lei, senior manager of the Promotion Department of Victor Company, Guan Jie, president of Nanjing Qixia Sub-branch of Bank of Jiangsu, and Tang Jinhua, a teacher at Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology and world champion attended the opening ceremony.

This tournament attracted 87 amateur teams and nearly a thousand badminton enthusiasts from all over the country to participate. With the purpose of sports for all, making friends through ball, it set off a wonderful badminton craze.

The two-day event was divided into two stages: group stage and knockout stage. The atmosphere was warm and the competition was fierce. Many players registered individually and formed teams randomly, while some units competed together. Through unity, cooperation and skill exchanges, everyone truly embodied the competition concept of amateur competition, professional experience.

This event was initiated and promoted by Tang Jinhua, the badminton world champion and teacher of the College. In the four years since its establishment, the Tang Jinhua Cup has continued to expand in scale and increase in influence, and has become a highly appealing and participatory brand event in the national amateur badminton community.

At the competition, a player from the CETC 14 Micro-Excellent Team excitedly said, This competition is very down-to-earth, and with the support of the world champions, it's very attractive! We not only improved our skills, but also made many like-minded friends.

This event was initiated and promoted by Tang Jinhua, the badminton world champion and teacher of the College. In the four years since its establishment, the Tang Jinhua Cup has continued to expand in scale and increase in influence, and has become a highly appealing and participatory brand event in the national amateur badminton community.

What is even more surprising is that Dong Shuting, a student who will be enrolled in the College in September this year, also participated in the competition. She said: I have always been a big fan of Teacher Tang, and I was influenced by her to choose NJCIT. I hope to continue to improve my badminton skills in the next three years of university life and strive to achieve better results in future competitions!

Mr. Tang Jinhua said that Tang Jinhua Badminton Studio has always adhered to promoting government-school-enterprise cooperation, promoting the development of mass sports, and actively giving back to society through flexible and diverse ways. Such events are an effective starting point for resource integration and sports promotion, and their rapid development and year-by-year expansion of scale also confirm the forward-looking nature of this path. I will continue to do it so that more people can experience the joy of badminton, she said.

Take badminton as the medium and concentrate on events. Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology will continue to help the national fitness movement, promote the extension of sports education resources to the society, and create more sharing and win-win sports exchange platforms!
