The College Successfully Hosts the Jiangsu Provincial Trials for the 3rd National Industrial and Information Technology Skills Competition

From October 25 to 27, the Jiangsu Provincial Trials for the Intelligent Industrial Robotics and Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles events of the 3rd National Industrial and Information Technology Skills Competition were successfully held at the College. The competition was co-hosted by the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Jiangsu Province, the Jiangsu Education Department, the Jiangsu Federation of Trade Unions, and the Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Youth League, and co-organized by the College's School of Intelligent Manufacturing and School of Intelligent Transportation. Deputy Director-General Huang Ping of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu and Secretary of the Party Committee of the College Kong Jie attended the opening ceremony and inspected the competition venue.

With the theme Integrating Industry and Talent, Serving the Nation with Skills, the competition was precisely aligned with the national strategies of building a manufacturing powerhouse and a transportation powerhouse, and Jiangsu Province's 1650 industrial system. The competition content was closely aligned with industrial transformation and upgrading, focusing on the deep integration and practical application of cutting-edge technologies such as industrial robotics and generative artificial intelligence, autonomous driving and vehicle-road collaboration. It comprehensively assessed the contestants' technical skills, innovative thinking, and professional competence.

The Intelligent Industrial Robotics event, based on the occupational requirements for Generative AI System Application Specialists, focused on evaluating the contestants' ability to integrate and apply generative AI technology with intelligent industrial robotic systems. A total of 81 contestants from 33 teams across the province registered for the competition. The College's teachers, Zhang Dong and Guo Jia, won the first prize in the staff group. Students Zhu Jianwen and Jiang Tianci won the first prize in the student group (vocational skills category). Students Du Qixuan, Xue Tingyao, and Hu Kaishun won the second prize in the student group (innovation category).

The Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles event, based on the occupational requirements for Intelligent Hardware Installation and Commissioning Specialists, focused on assessing the contestants' comprehensive abilities in installation, testing, fault diagnosis, multi-system integrated commissioning, and simulation verification for technical aspects such as vehicle perception, decision-making, execution, and V2X. A total of 56 contestants from 28 teams across the province registered for the competition. The College's teachers, Zhang Yaju and Lan Tianwen, won the first prize in the staff group. Students Li Hao and Liu Boyu won the first prize in the student group.

This competition holds positive and far-reaching significance for selecting outstanding industrial talent, showcasing technological advancements, and promoting the deep integration of industry and education. The College will take this competition as an opportunity to further deepen industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation, implement the principle of promoting teaching, learning, and reform through competition, and leverage competition resources to enhance teaching, thereby cultivating more highly skilled talent that meets industrial demands and supports local economic development.
