The Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Vocational Education in the Electronic Information Industry Holds its Re-election Conference at the College

On December 13, 2025, the re-election conference of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Vocational Education in the Electronic Information Industry was held at Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology. Chi Yu, Deputy Director, Party Leadership Group Member of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, and Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information; Yu Yong, Director of the Electronic Information Division of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu and Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information; Li Yongle, Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Division of the Jiangsu Education Department; Ma Chengrong, Director of the General Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information; Kong Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology; and Tian Min, President of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology and Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information, attended the conference.

Over 200 people attended the conference, including all members of the second Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information, members from six specialized committees (Electronic Engineering, Computer, Network and Communication, Integrated Circuits and Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, and Secondary Vocational Education), and representatives from various industries and enterprises.

The conference began with a welcome speech by Kong Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology. He stated that the College, as the secretariat of the Steering Committee, feels a great sense of responsibility and honor. The College will fully support the work of the Steering Committee, actively serve as a bridge and link, and looks forward to deepening cooperation with all parties to jointly promote the precise alignment of electronic information vocational education with industrial demands and cultivate more high-quality technical and skilled talents for the industry.

 Li Yongle, Deputy Director of the Vocational Education Division of the Jiangsu Education Department, announced the Notice from the Jiangsu Education Department on the List of Key Members of the New Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Vocational Education (2025-2028) at the event.

Chi Yu, Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information and Deputy Director of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, presented letters of appointment to the new vice chairmen.

Yu Yong, Vice Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information and Director of the Electronic Information Division of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, announced the Plan for the Establishment of Specialized Committees of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information.

Tian Min, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information and President of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, delivered a work report on behalf of the first Steering Committee. He comprehensively summarized the work of the first committee in promoting the integration of industry and education and school-enterprise cooperation, conducting forecasts on the development of the electronic information industry and talent demands, providing guidance on the establishment and development of electronic and information-related majors, and leading the development of relevant standards. He also pledged to fulfill his duties, actively build a communication platform for government, industry, enterprises, and schools, and effectively ensure the implementation of the Steering Committee's various tasks.

At the conference, Chi Yu, Chairman of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information and Deputy Director of the Industry and Information Technology Department of Jiangsu, delivered an important speech. He fully affirmed the achievements of the previous Steering Committee and pointed out that the electronic information industry is currently in a critical period of transformation and upgrading, with accelerated technological iteration placing higher demands on the knowledge structure, skill levels, and innovation capabilities of talents. The new Steering Committee must proactively adapt to industrial changes and further strengthen its sense of mission and responsibility. First, deepen the mechanism of industry-education integration to align program offerings with industrial demands, curriculum content with professional standards, and the teaching process with the production process; second, build a collaborative education ecosystem by encouraging deep enterprise involvement in the entire talent cultivation process and jointly building and sharing training bases, teaching resources, and faculty teams; third, enhance the capacity to serve development by strengthening research on industrial development and talent demands to provide a scientific basis for policy-making and institutional reforms; fourth, promote the internationalization of vocational education by learning from advanced experiences to enhance the international influence of Jiangsu's electronic information vocational education. He encouraged all committee members to work together to create a new chapter in the high-quality development of electronic information vocational education.

Ma Chengrong, Director of the General Office of the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information, delivered a special report titled Reshaping the 'Hub-type' Organization for Deep Industry-Education Integration in Vocational Education.

Presidents Xu Jianjun of Changzhou College of Information Technology, Zhang Yu of Jiangsu Vocational College of Information Technology, Zhang Youdong of Jiangsu Vocational College of Electronics and Information, and Vice President Du Qingbo of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology each delivered special reports to the conference, sharing their respective explorations and practices in development, reform, transformation, and innovation.

In the afternoon session on high-quality development of industry-education integration, several representatives from colleges and experts from enterprises shared case studies and exchanged experiences on themes such as AI empowerment, professional cluster development, innovation in talent cultivation models, and school-enterprise collaboration mechanisms.

Afterward, the specialized committees held group discussions, focusing on their work plans and key tasks, and reached a consensus on development.

This event marks a new stage for the Jiangsu Provincial Steering Committee for Electronic Information.

The new Steering Committee will continue to fulfill its functions of guidance, coordination, and service. It will integrate high-quality resources from the government, industry, enterprises, and schools; deepen the integration of industry and education and the cooperation between schools and enterprises; and strive to closely connect the vocational education and talent chains with the industrial and innovation chains. This will provide solid talent and skill support for the high-quality development of Jiangsu's electronic information industry and the construction of a modern, educationally strong province.
