NJCIT Successfully Hosts the Track and Field (Group B) Competition of the Collegiate Division of the 21st Jiangsu Provincial Games

From May 14 to 18, the Track and Field (Group B) Competition of the Collegiate Division of the 21st Jiangsu Provincial Games, hosted by the Jiangsu Education Department and the Jiangsu Provincial Bureau of Sports and organized by Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, was successfully held at the Binjiang Campus of Nanjing Agricultural University. As the highest-level and highest-standard official top-tier event in the field of higher vocational sports in Jiangsu Province, this grand event brings together sports elites from higher vocational colleges across the province. It serves as both a major review of the track and field athletic level of higher vocational colleges in the province and an important window to showcase the achievements of the integration of sports and education in Jiangsu's higher vocational education.

This event was grand in scale, broad in coverage, and highly professional, attracting active participation from 64 higher vocational colleges across the province. A total of 792 track and field athletes competed on the same stage, with over 300 professional referees, staff, and volunteers participating in event support and services throughout the entire process. During the five-day fierce competition, the contestants strove bravely and went all out in 42 major competition events. With their vigorous postures and determined spirit, they broke through their limits and vied for excellence, fully interpreting the Olympic spirit of Faster, Higher, Stronger - Together and demonstrating the vibrant and enterprising youthful demeanor of college students in the new era.

As the host of this event, NJCIT attached great importance to it and made meticulous arrangements. We implemented all hosting tasks with high standards of preparation, high efficiency in execution, and high quality in service, comprehensively demonstrating NJCIT's capability to host large-scale events and its excellent educational style. The entire competition was organized in a standardized and orderly manner, with solid and powerful logistical support and warm and meticulous volunteer services. All tasks were completed with high quality, earning high recognition and unanimous praise from superior authorities, participating institutions, and referee teams, successfully delivering an excellent performance in hosting the competition.

Successfully hosting this highest-level higher vocational track and field event in Jiangsu Province is a concentrated display of the effectiveness of NJCIT's sports work construction, and even more so, a vivid practice of NJCIT's active role in contributing to the high-quality development of sports in Jiangsu's higher education institutions. For a long time, NJCIT has always adhered to the fundamental task of fostering virtue through education, fully implemented the Five Aspects of Education policy, and placed sports education in a prominent position in talent cultivation. We have deeply cultivated the education model integrating sports and education, continuously improved campus sports infrastructure, and regularly carried out characteristic activities such as Sunshine Sports, campus competitions, and sports clubs, comprehensively enhancing students' physical fitness and sports literacy.

With a solid foundation in sports development and regular competitive training, NJCIT's athletic level has consistently ranked among the top higher vocational colleges in the province. It has extensive experience in hosting large-scale sporting events and has successfully hosted several key provincial sports events, such as the Nanjing Collegiate Track and Field Championships, accumulating a mature event organization system and support experience. At this Provincial Games, NJCIT's competing athletes fought hard, challenged themselves, and achieved outstanding results of 3 gold, 2 silver, and 1 bronze medals, demonstrating NJCIT's competitive spirit with their strength.

The successful hosting of this competition fully demonstrated NJCIT's strength, organizational capabilities, and sense of responsibility. In the future, NJCIT will continue to deepen the integration of sports and education, solidify the foundation of sports education, empower the all-round growth of students through sports, build a platform for exchange through competitions, and continue to contribute to the high-quality development of higher vocational sports in Jiangsu Province, continuously conveying the uplifting NJCIT Power and NJCIT Spirit.
