Secretary Kong Jie and his delegation visited iFLYTEK and the National Intelligent Speech Innovation Center for research and exchanges

On August 19, Kong Jie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, led a team to visit iFLYTEK Co., Ltd. and the National Intelligent Speech Innovation Center for research and exchanges. This research visit is grounded in the needs of school–enterprise scientific research collaboration and integrated development of industry and education, proactively aligns with the forefront of the artificial intelligence industry, and accurately grasps the trends of technological iteration and front-line research and application needs in the industry. It leverages high-quality platform resources to seize the opportunities of the digital transformation of vocational education, helping NJCIT rely on industrial resources to enhance its educational connotation and empowering NJCIT's high-quality development. Enterprise leaders such as Jiang Guangxian, Deputy General Manager for the Higher Education Client Group of iFLYTEK, Xu Xue, Deputy Director of the Higher Education Research Institute, and Li Jing, Director for the Vocational Education Industry in the Jiangsu Region, warmly received and accompanied the research visit.

During the research visit, Secretary Kong Jie and his delegation successively conducted on-site tours of the National Intelligent Speech Innovation Center and the iFLYTEK Artificial Intelligence Exhibition Hall, gaining a close-up understanding of iFLYTEK's cutting-edge technological achievements and industrial applications in the field of artificial intelligence. They focused on learning about the company's innovative practices in core industrial links such as technology research and development, product development, and intelligent inspection, and systematically studied its practical experience in implementing applications in scenarios including intelligent inspection of industrial defects, intelligent optimization of production processes, smart education, and auxiliary inspection in education and healthcare. By engaging in in-depth connection with national-level innovation platforms and leading enterprises on the industrial front line, NJCIT has accurately grasped the connotation of artificial intelligence industry development, technology development trends, and real job requirements, providing strong support for subsequent precise alignment with industry, serving industry, and relying on industry to empower its education and schooling.

Subsequently, the two sides held an exchange and discussion meeting. At the meeting, Jiang Guangxian, on behalf of iFLYTEK, extended a warm welcome to Secretary Kong Jie and his delegation. He gave a detailed introduction to iFLYTEK's technological accumulation and strategic planning in the education field, reviewed the solid foundation of cooperation previously established between the two sides in areas such as joint development of majors, and stated that the company will give full play to its advantages in technology research and development, platform resources, and industrialization. He said it will continue to deepen school–enterprise collaboration, help NJCIT draw on AI industry resources to promote the enhancement of teachers' capabilities, innovation in teaching reform, and the implementation of scientific research practice, and support NJCIT in developing distinctive digital features.

Secretary Kong Jie expressed his gratitude for iFLYTEK's warm reception and long-term support, and briefly introduced NJCIT's development history and educational characteristics. He pointed out that the predecessor of NJCIT was New China's first secondary vocational school in the field of electronic information, and that it has a glorious history of running the school. In school-running practice in the new era, NJCIT has taken the comprehensive empowerment by artificial intelligence as its core development strategy, and has led applications for new AI-related majors and taken the lead in establishing the National Vocational Colleges Artificial Intelligence Application Alliance. At present, the high-quality development of vocational education cannot be achieved without precise empowerment from the industrial frontier. Only by deeply entering the front line of enterprise research and development and participating in industrial innovation practice can NJCIT effectively enhance teachers' adaptability to industrial technologies and their ability to serve industrial development, thereby continuously enriching the connotation of education and improving the quality of talent cultivation.

At the meeting, Xu Xue from iFLYTEK gave a special presentation on the theme of the digital transformation of vocational education, systematically introducing the application practices of the iFLYTEK AI Vocational Education Platform across all teaching and learning scenarios, which provided important reference for NJCIT to advance digital teaching reform, deepen collaboration among industry, education, and scientific research, and enhance the effectiveness of talent cultivation.

Finally, the two sides carried out in-depth exchanges on key topics such as AI empowerment for collaboration among industry, education, and scientific research, and on talent training. Both sides stated that they will take this research visit as an opportunity to continuously deepen cooperation, promote deep integration of industry, academia, and research, and work together to create a new benchmark for the intelligent development of vocational education, contributing to the high-quality development of vocational education and the building of a strong country in education.
