Good News: NJCIT's School of Digital Arts Wins the First Prize in the "Digital Art Design" Event (Higher Vocational Group) of 2024 Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition

From January 5 to 7, 2024, the Digital Art Design Event (Higher Vocational Group) of Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition was held at Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute, and 43 teams from our province participated in this competition.

Under the leadership of teachers Shao Xiangqian and Yang Tian, Fang Zheng, Shi Yao and Wu Yuhan majoring in VR Application Technology and Film & Television Animation from the School of Digital Arts won the first prize. They got off to a good start in 2024, reflecting the spirit of cooperation and courage of teachers and students of the School of Digital Arts in the skills competition.

The Digital Art Design Event is a newly added event in 2023, including model making, animation production and engine editing modules. It requires the use of AIGC (artificial intelligence-generated content) and corresponding 3D models, animations, engines, video editing and other software for digital art project production to comprehensively test students' artistic accomplishment and digital technology production ability.

After the competition, Shi Yao was interviewed by Jiangsu TV and introduced the experience in preparing for the competition and the understanding of the AIGC technology based on the hot topic AI application module in this competition.
