Good News: NJCIT’s School of Electronic Information Wins First Prize in “Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development” Event (Higher Vocational Education Group) of 2024 Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition

From January 13 to 15, 2024, the “Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development” Event (Higher Vocational Education Group) of 2024 Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition was held at Jiangsu Vocational College of Electronics and Information, with 37 teams participating. According to the requirements of the National Competition, the “Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development” Event (Higher Vocational Education Group) of 2024 Jiangsu Vocational Students Skills Competition adopted the “1+3” teacher-student competition mode for the first time.

Representatives from the School of Electronic Information of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT), including students Gu Zixuan, Tu Yi, Li Xiang, and instructor Li Bin, participated in the competition and won the first prize. The 2024 “Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development” Event includes three parts: electronic circuit design, assembly transformation and debugging of intelligent electronic products, and system function realization, operation, and maintenance. It comprehensively examines the contestants’ ability to design and develop intelligent electronic products.

During the preparation period, under the guidance of instructors Li Bin and Cui Xiuhua, students sorted out sample questions, tackled technical difficulties, and designed team cooperation methods. Students who participated in the competition last year were invited to participate in simulation training. The team promptly summarized, reflected on, and improved upon the simulation training situation.

The achievements of the competition cannot be separated from the high attention and full support of the leaders of NJCIT. At present, the School of Electronic Information has formed a structured team system for the “Intelligent Electronic Product Design and Development” Event, which interprets the specific actions of the School of Electronic Information to continuously promote the cultivation of top-notch talents and implement the original intention of the vocational students skills competition to “promote teaching and learning through competition”.
