Vice President Sun Gang Led a Delegation to Wuwei City, Anhui Province, for an Exchange on College-Local Cooperation

On July 1, 2026, Sun Gang, a member of the college's Party Committee and Vice President, led relevant personnel from the Science and Technology Division, the Continuing Education Division, the School of Intelligent Transportation, and the School of Digital Arts to Wuwei City, Anhui Province, to conduct a visit for college-local cooperation, exchange, and research. Li Wei, a member of the Standing Committee of the Wuwei Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit.

During the visit, the team of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology (NJCIT) successively visited the Wuwei BYD Power Battery Industrial Park, the Wuwei Three Squirrels Health Food City, the Wuwei Game Industrial Park, Anhui Xinhai High-Conductivity New Materials Co., Ltd., and Wuhu Cable Industry School to gain an in-depth understanding of the layout of Wuwei’s leading industries, the current development status of enterprises, and the foundation of vocational education. Relevant officials from the Wuwei Economic Development Zone and the Municipal Investment Promotion Center participated in the visit.

In the meeting room of the Wuwei Municipal Government, Vice Mayor Li Wei presided over a seminar on cooperation and exchange. Heads of departments from Wuwei, including the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the Science and Technology Bureau, the Talent Office, and the Education Bureau, held in-depth discussions with relevant personnel from the college on all-round cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, skills services, joint platform construction, and industrial resource sharing, to jointly explore a new model of cross-regional school-local coordinated development.

At the meeting, the two sides reached a consensus on a new cooperation model of “empowerment by technical talents from Nanjing universities + implementation in Wuwei's industrial scenarios + two-way enclave linkage + skills services”. Vice President Sun Gang stated that NJCIT will give full play to its advantages in vocational education resources, talent cultivation, and scientific research and innovation to precisely meet the industrial development needs of Wuwei and promote the landing of high-quality vocational education resources in the city. Vice Mayor Li Wei pointed out that this cooperation will provide a strong impetus for talent introduction for Wuwei's leading industries, upgrading of vocational education, vocational skills training services, and industrial investment promotion. The two parties held in-depth discussions on the content and pathways for future cooperation.

This in-depth cooperation between Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology and Wuwei City is a vivid example of both the college and the locality actively implementing and responding to the Party Central Committee's strategy for the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and promoting the deep integration of vocational education with the local economy. The two parties will work together to forge a new path of mutually beneficial and win-win development for both the college and the locality, injecting lasting momentum into the high-quality economic and social development of the region.
