Our College Successfully Hosted the National Youth National Defense Literacy Competition Jiangsu Division Selection Tournament

From July 4 to 5, the 2025–2026 National Youth National Defense Literacy Competition Jiangsu Division Selection Tournament was held at Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology. Nearly 2,000 young people from across the province competed on the same stage, vying for the top spots, experiencing the strength of the military and inheriting the spirit of serving the country through the offline national defense competition.

This event was jointly sponsored by the Publicity Department of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial National Defense Mobilization Office, the Political Work Bureau of the Provincial Military Command, the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, and Nanjing University of Science and Technology, and jointly organized by Phoenix Publishing & Media Group and Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology. The competition featured four events: the Love My National Defense Themed Speech Contest, the National Defense Technology Creative Design Contest, the National Defense Skills Challenge, and the Intelligent Unmanned Systems Application Contest, covering students from primary schools, junior high schools, regular senior high schools, and secondary vocational schools. Prior to the competition, extensive mobilization was carried out among primary and secondary schools across the province, attracting a total of over 20,000 young people to sign up. After rounds of national defense knowledge quizzes and online reviews, outstanding contestants were selected to advance to the offline competition for a centralized contest.

The smooth execution of this high-profile event was made possible by the multi-party collaboration between the college and local authorities, as well as their full support throughout the process. As the event organizer, the college meticulously planned and organized 283 student volunteers to fully participate in event services, with their responsibilities divided among tasks such as registration guidance, maintaining order at the competition venues, and emergency response. Departments such as the Publicity Department of the Party Committee, the Targeted Cultivation School, the Academic Affairs Division, the Logistics Management Division, the Security Management Division, the Digitalization Construction Center, the Library, and the Physical Education Department worked closely together, providing meticulous and thoughtful services to ensure the success of the competition.
