Connecting Industry Resources, Forging Excellent Teachers for Intelligent Manufacturing—The School of Intelligent Manufacturing Successfully Launches Three 2026 Jiangsu Vocational College Teacher Quality Improvement Plan Programs

On July 13th, three training programs were launched concurrently at our college: the School-Enterprise-Oriented Training for Key Teachers in Industrial Robot Technology in the Context of AI, the Teaching Capacity Improvement Training for Key Teachers of Intelligent Robot Majors in the Equipment Manufacturing Category, and the Industrial Robot Special Workshop of National Skill Master Wang Chunfeng's Studio. Due to the impact of a typhoon on his travel plans, Sun Gang, Vice President of Nanjing Vocational College of Information Technology, attended the opening ceremony online and delivered a speech.

In his speech, Vice President Sun pointed out that in recent years, the college has proactively aligned with major national strategies such as Manufacturing Powerhouse, Cyber Powerhouse, and Digital China. Following the deployment of Jiangsu Province's 1650 modern industrial system construction, the college has insisted on industry-education integration as its core driver. It has built an integrated development model of leading enterprise + major cluster + industrial ecosystem, and has taken the lead in establishing 3 national-level industry-education integration consortiums and 2 regional industry-education alliances, and has co-established 9 distinctive industry schools with industry leaders such as China Electronics and Estun. This series of training programs is precisely an extension and implementation of this industry-education integration ecosystem. He stated that this training aims to help key teachers master cutting-edge technologies and innovate teaching methods. He expressed his hope that everyone would keep pace with the industry's forefront, deepen classroom reform, and remain true to their original aspiration of education, bringing genuine skills back to the front lines of teaching.

This series of training programs was co-hosted by the School of Intelligent Manufacturing and Estun Automation Co., Ltd., gathering 101 key teachers from over 30 higher vocational colleges across the province at NJCIT. In the upcoming training period, the three programs will advance simultaneously, focusing on three major directions: enterprise-oriented practical training, enhancement of intelligent robotics teaching capabilities, and inheritance of skills from master studios.

Industry-Education Symbiosis, Honing Real Skills at the Enterprise Site

As the first program to be launched, the 28-day college-enterprise oriented training class for key teachers in industrial robotics technology in the context of AI kicked off at the training base of Nanjing Estun Automation Co., Ltd. Before the training began, the college conducted extensive research on the actual needs of the participating teachers and designed a targeted curriculum system of practical skills, covering programming and maintenance of Estun industrial robots and collaborative robots, as well as the operation of robots from mainstream market brands such as Fanuc and ABB. The training footprint extended from the Estun headquarters in Jiangning, to the Estun intelligent factory in Gaochun, and then to the NJCIT-Estun 4S Center, covering the entire chain of enterprise R&D, production, and service scenarios. Participating teachers operated frontline equipment and engaged with the latest industrial software throughout the entire process, honing their skills in real working conditions. Everything I learn on the production line is exactly what I can use in the classroom, one participating teacher remarked.

Distinguished Teachers Leading the Way, Empowering Teaching Innovation with Cutting-edge Theories

Following that, a 7-day training program to enhance the teaching capabilities of key teachers in the intelligent robotics major officially commenced on July 13. A dual-mentor team of both academic and industry professionals was formed, featuring experts and scholars from universities such as Professor Yu Hanqi of Nanjing Institute of Technology, and Professor Zhou Hongping of Nanjing Forestry University, a national distinguished teacher of the Ten Thousand Talents Program, along with technical experts from companies including Estun Automation, Dobot, AIFAN Robot, NXROBO, Shenzhen Kaihong Digital, and League Intelligent Technology. The experts delivered special reports and provided hands-on guidance on cutting-edge topics such as project-based teaching reform, industry-education integration, embodied intelligence, AI-empowered vocational education, and robot operating system development, with trainees eagerly asking questions and engaging in lively discussions.

Masters Passing on Their Craft, the Spirit of Artisanship Inherited

On the same day, a specialized training program by the National Skills Master Wang Chunfeng Studio (in industrial robotics) was launched simultaneously. This training program was coordinated and organized by the Provincial Department of Education, hosted on the high-quality platform of our college's national-level skills master studio, and implemented in collaboration with leading industry enterprises such as Estun Automation. The training is based on a model that combined lectures by masters, hands-on practice at enterprises, and project-driven learning, with the curriculum focusing on core content such as industrial robot programming and debugging, trajectory optimization, vision applications, and workstation integration. It was jointly taught by national skills masters and senior industry engineers, utilizing real industrial training equipment throughout to provide participating teachers with direct exposure to cutting-edge enterprise technologies.

The successful implementation of these three national and provincial teacher training programs is another vivid example of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing's efforts to deepen industry-education integration and school-enterprise cooperation. The college will take this training as an opportunity to continue leveraging the resources of the national-level skills master studio and leading industry enterprises to solidify the foundation of talent and teaching staff for the high-quality development of Jiangsu's intelligent manufacturing industry and the enhancement and excellence of modern vocational education.
